Sun Across the Bay
This image was inspired by the view looking west from above the Otter estuary in East Devon. The lightness of touch and sense of atmosphere are reminiscent of qualities found in Japanese prints. As with Japanese prints this image was produced entirely by hand; no press was used.
Edition: 8
Image size: 45cm h x 39cm w
Hand printed on Zerkall 145g paper. Each colour stage was hand burnished using a glass baren. This is a reduction print which means the block was gradually destroyed with each stage of the process. No further prints can be made from the block.
Unframed.
Despatched flat or rolled. (Local delivery possible)

Lino cuts
Most of my lino cuts are reduction prints. This means that during the cutting process the block is gradually destroyed which means that once the edition is completed I cannot produce any more prints from the block.
I deliberately choose to produce small editions, usually numbered between 10 and 20. All lino prints are hand-printed on Zerkall 145gm or Somerset Satin 250g paper using a 19th century Albion relief press or my Hawthorn press.
